The city of Ordos in North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region recently announced a groundbreaking plan to transform itself into a talent-friendly city.

According to the new plan, Ordos aims to significantly increase its talent resources and optimize its talent structure.

By 2030, Ordos aims to establish 200 new research platforms at the autonomous region level or higher. The city is also striving to secure one to two major national scientific infrastructure projects or large-scale scientific installations, solidifying its status as a national innovation hub.

Meanwhile, Ordos is committed to creating a comprehensive support system for innovation and entrepreneurship, fostering a vibrant environment where talent can thrive. By 2030, the city aims to have 1,000 national high-tech enterprises and 2,000 technology-based small and medium-sized enterprises, with high-tech industries accounting for over 30 percent of the added value of industries above a designated size.

The city is dedicated to building an inclusive and transparent environment for talent development, encouraging more "city partners" to join its journey. By 2030, Ordos hopes to have a fully integrated talent and innovation system.
