An art festival focusing on Ordos Guru Song, a national-level intangible cultural heritage, kicked off in Hanggin Banner of Ordos on Aug 12.
This year's festival features a diverse array of cultural and artistic activities, including the Ordos Guru Song competition, an exhibition of intangible cultural heritage works, and a dedicated Guru Song concert. The aim is to delve deep into the cultural essence of the Guru Song, showcasing its unique charm and cultural significance.
Spanning two days, the festival has drawn a remarkable 668 participants, ranging in age from 6 to 87. The wide age range highlights the enduring appeal and intergenerational significance of the Ordos Guru Song.

"The characteristics of the Gurugur Song are very distinctive. Its lyrics are poetic, the singing style is solemn and ancient, and each note is imbued with the richness of culture," remarked a member of a teachers' choir.
"I hope that through the Ordos Guru Song, the audience can feel the vastness and depth of our ethnic culture, fostering a greater love for the song and a continued commitment to preserving our intangible cultural heritage," the person added.
