The Ordos Ejin Horoo International Airport in Ordos, North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region, hosted a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Aug 17 to welcome the arrival of the first flight from Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia.

This marks the official opening of the direct international flight route connecting Ordos and Ulaanbaatar.

The route, operated by Hunnu Air using the E190 aircraft, has a capacity of around 100 passengers.

Flights are scheduled twice a week on Wednesdays and Saturdays, with departures from Ordos at 12:10 and Ulaanbaatar at 9:30. The journey is approximately 1 hour and 40 minutes, significantly reducing travel time between the two destinations.

The launch of this route is not only an expansion of Ordos airport's international flight network, but also a convenient and efficient aerial gateway for economic and trade exchanges, cultural interactions, and personal visits between the two regions.
