The Ministry of Civil Affairs and the Ministry of Finance have jointly issued the National Service-Oriented Social Assistance Pilot Work Plan, naming Ordos city as one of the pilot regions for service-oriented social assistance.
Ordos has been enhancing dynamic monitoring and regular assistance for low-income populations in recent years.
The city has swiftly developed a comprehensive, layered, and efficient social assistance system by categorizing assistance based on the degree of hardship and classifying types of aid. This system focuses on basic living assistance, specialized social assistance, and emergency social assistance and is supplemented by community efforts.
Ordos has been pioneering a "material + service" social assistance model, strengthening the social safety net and boosting public happiness.
The city has integrated the needs and resources of the elderly, children, people with disability, and financially troubled individuals through a "station + doorstep" approach, ensuring a thorough understanding of their needs and effective resource allocation for dual support in life services.
