Ordos celebrates 2024 Chinese Farmers' Harvest Festival

The city of Ordos in North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region celebrated the seventh Chinese Farmers' Harvest Festival on Sept 22 and 23.
The two-day celebration was hosted by the Ordos agriculture and animal husbandry bureau and the government of local Ejin Horoo Banner, and organized by the Ejin Horoo Banner's agriculture, animal husbandry, and water resources bureau.
At the opening ceremony, the exhibition booths showcased a wide array of distinct local agricultural and livestock products from the nine banners and districts of Ordos.

Various public service booths offering free medical consultations and legal advice attracted many visitors, while traditional cultural displays, including paper cutting, pyrography, needle felt art, and folk fabric crafts, highlighted the city's rich cultural heritage.
The celebration included a series of events such as a local food fair, a farmers' sports meeting, a rural carnival, and cultural and fine arts exhibitions, which were aimed at celebrating the harvest and showcasing Ordos' achievements in agriculture and animal husbandry.
