A cashmere industry academician research institute was officially established in Ordos in North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region on Oct 23.

The unveiling ceremony was attended by Xu Weilin, president of Wuhan Textile University, and leaders from Ordos Investment Holding Group. A new talent development plan for the cashmere industry was also announced the same day.

This institute, a collaboration between Erdos Resources Co and Wuhan Textile University, is the first high-level research institution in the cashmere sector to involve Chinese academicians.

Its establishment aims to enhance the integration of industry, academia and research, fostering innovative productivity.

The comprehensive talent development strategy is expected to attract a diverse array of talent, driving high-quality growth for both Ordos and the broader cashmere industry.
