As the year-end approaches, Ordos city is in full swing with its key construction projects, aiming for early completion and operational efficiency.
This year, the city planned to implement 426 major projects, each with government investments exceeding 50 million yuan ($7.01 million) or corporate investments over 100 million yuan. All these projects have now commenced construction. By mid-October, the total investment had reached 154.79 billion yuan.
For example, at the Microgrid Laboratory of the Ordos New Energy Research Institute, the research team is conducting tests on a grid simulator.
They aim to enhance grid stability and energy distribution efficiency through real-time data monitoring and model optimization, thereby providing technical support for clean energy applications in Ordos.
The institute, established through a model of "government support, academic leadership, and industry-academia collaboration", is driving energy technology innovation and application.
Construction of the laboratory began in March this year. The first phase became operational at the end of July, and the second phase is progressing steadily.
