In recent days, over 1,000 migratory birds have arrived at Maodun Chagan Naoer Lake in Uxin Banner, Ordos city, to rest and feed.
The lake is currently home to more than 10 rare bird species, including swans, mallards, and ruddy shelducks. These birds will stay for about a month to replenish their energy before continuing their journey to warmer southern regions for the winter.

Uxin Banner boasts over 50 rivers and lakes, making it a crucial stopover on China's migratory bird routes.
In recent years, the local government has intensified efforts to restore and manage the ecological health of these rivers and lakes. By improving the habitat, the banner has ensured ample food supplies and safe passage for migratory birds. As a result, the number of migratory birds stopping over in the area has been steadily increasing.
