Ordos students win medals at World Vocational College Skills Competition

Students from Ordos city obtained six medals at the finals of the 2024 World Vocational College Skills Competition, which was held across 32 venues nationwide from Oct 21 to 31.
The competition featured 42 categories divided into higher vocational and secondary vocational groups. Students from Ordos achieved remarkable success, with higher vocational students winning two bronze medals and secondary vocational students securing one gold, one silver, and two bronze medals.
This marks the first time Ordos students have won gold and silver medals in this prestigious competition.
The World Vocational College Skills Competition, organized by the Ministry of Education, the National Development and Reform Commission, the Ministry of Science and Technology, and 32 other entities, is an international public welfare competition that showcases comprehensive vocational skills.
The event emphasizes the development of students' professional skills, vocational qualities, teamwork, and innovation. It aims to enhance practical abilities and problem-solving skills using professional knowledge and competencies such as teamwork, adaptability, and communication.
