Shi Guanghui, deputy secretary of the CPC Inner Mongolia Autonomous Regional Committee, participated in discussions with the Ordos delegation on Jan 15 during the third session of the 14th Inner Mongolian Autonomous Regional People's Congress to review the regional government work report.
Shi emphasized Ordos' role as a key economic driver in Inner Mongolia, urging the city to focus on cutting-edge industrial innovation, refine its modern industrial systems, and support market entities in pursuing innovation-driven growth.
He called for the city to lead the way in innovative development, which will contribute to the region's high-quality growth.
He also stressed the importance of sustainable strategies, encouraging Ordos to lead in desertification control, full-lifecycle management of mining operations, and the development of zero-carbon industrial parks. These efforts, he noted, should aim to establish Ordos as a model of green development and build a strong brand for ecological sustainability.
