The 2025 Ordos government work report highlighted the success of the city's "Six Key Initiatives" in driving the city toward a new phase of development.

Over the past year, Ordos launched several landmark projects, including the "Solar Great Wall" in the Kubuqi Desert and the "One Corridor, Multiple Points" project in the Mu Us Sandy Land, with construction on all 3.1-gigawatt integrated energy projects underway.

Meanwhile, the city expanded 105 water, electricity, gas, and heating projects, constructed and rebuilt over 1,500 kilometers of pipelines and 1,600 km of power lines, completed the Yellow River water supply project, and addressed long-standing issues like heating shortages and a 20-year water scarcity in Dongsheng district. 

Additionally, with 178 institutional innovations replicated and promoted, Ordos has achieved higher-quality development, with greener initiatives and stronger results.
