The ninth edition of the Ordos Folk Culture Festival is underway in Ordos city in North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region until Feb 12.

This year's festival features 15 meticulously planned events, blending interactive games with intangible cultural heritage performances. It also features 40 intangible cultural heritage exhibits and 40 vendors offering traditional Chinese New Year goods from across the city and beyond. Visitors can immerse in the festive atmosphere while experiencing the charm of traditional culture.

On Jan 19, the festival highlighted writing and gifting Spring Festival couplets, creating and sharing snake-themed paper-cut window decorations, and hands-on workshops for crafting heritage-inspired items.

Over 5,000 Spring Festival couplets and paper-cut designs were distributed, providing participants with a warm and culturally rich Chinese New Year experience.
