Construction of the 2025 production capacity of Sulige Gas Field, China's largest integrated gas field, commenced on Feb 8.
The production capacity construction of the Sulige Gas Field spans five banners and counties in Ordos city, North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region, covering an area of 40,000 square kilometers.
Ten drilling rigs simultaneously began operations, marking the start of a new year of intensive capacity expansion.
"With the simultaneous drilling of 10 wells today, our production capacity construction team is operating at full throttle to accomplish our tasks," said Long Yunhui, manager of the Sulige Gas Field Development Co.
"For 2025, our team has set a production capacity target of 2.51 billion cubic meters, with plans to drill 665 wells," Long added.
There are currently 95 drilling rigs deployed at the gas field, with all rigs expected to be fully operational by late February.
