Ordos adds 4 autonomous region-level innovation platforms

Ordos city in North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region has announced the approval of four new major innovation platforms at the autonomous region level, as authorized by the Inner Mongolia Development and Reform Commission.

The newly approved platforms include the Carbon Capture, Utilization, and Storage Industrial Technology Engineering Center, led by the Peking University Ordos Research Institute of Energy, and the High-End Domestic Laser Spectroscopy Gas Analyzer Industrial Technology Engineering Center, established by Inner Mongolia Photonics Technologies Co.

The others are the Energy Industry Pollution Reduction and Carbon Reduction Synergy Industrial Technology Engineering Center, developed by Ordos Institute of Technology, and the Efficient Water Resource Recycling Industrial Technology Engineering Center, built by Ordos Anxintai Environmental Protection Technology Co.

In recent years, Ordos has implemented an innovation-driven development strategy. The city has fostered collaboration between research institutions and enterprises to tackle key technological challenges and accelerate the commercialization of scientific achievements.

Ordos is home to 268 innovation platforms at various levels and has established strategic partnerships with over 10 universities, including Peking University and China University of Mining and Technology.

These platforms support new energy, new material, chemical, and environmental protection industries, providing strong momentum for the city's high-quality development.
