Online shopping festival sparks consumer frenzy for Ordos

The 2025 Online Chinese New Year Shopping Festival, hosted by the Ordos Comprehensive Bonded Zone, marked a vibrant start to the year. Running for one and a half months, the festival attracted significant consumer attention and participation and generated impressive sales figures.
The bonded zone promoted the event via advertising campaigns and live stream sessions through its official accounts, "ONE MIKE Air Cargo Cross-Border" and "Warm City ONE MIKE Air Cargo Cross-Border".
The event achieved a transaction value of 6.83 million yuan ($945,983), with 21,570 orders placed. It reached a peak single-day sales record of 540,000 yuan, securing a spot in the top 30 beauty and skincare sales rankings.
A highlight of this year's festival was its collaboration with several iconic local Ordos brands. Each brand's promotional video gained an average exposure of over 30,000 views, with eight brands collectively amassing 780,000 views throughout the event.
Cashmere giant Palandi, dairy brand Saliqing, and juice beverage label Gaoyuanlu saw a repurchase rate exceeding 65 percent, demonstrating strong consumer trust and satisfaction.
