The 15th Ordos Ice and Snow Cultural and Tourism Season, offering visitors a vibrant winter celebration blending culture, tourism and sports, opened on Dec 27 and will run through March 2026.

The season integrates culture, tourism, sports, and commerce, featuring seven themed sections and more than 20 signature events.

The main venue will host a "1+2+8" lineup of ice and snow competitions, including one Ice and Snow Naadam, two professional leagues – alpine skiing and snowboarding – and eight themed popular events such as snow volleyball and orienteering. Sub-venues across banners and districts will stage 17 additional events focused on public participation.

The season is expected to attract over 1.5 million visitors and boost consumption by more than 30 percent.

Since the start of winter, Ordos has expanded product offerings, introduced new tourism scenarios, and improved services.

A total of 120 cultural and tourism activities and 28 ice and snow competitions have been rolled out, alongside 10 winter-themed tourism routes and three ice-and-snow sports tourism routes.

By linking dining, accommodation, transport, sightseeing, shopping, and entertainment, the city is turning ice and snow resources into a thriving winter economy and strengthening Ordos' appeal as a distinctive winter destination.
