Twenty industrial robots were rolled out on the first day of operations at the Jining Robot Industrial Park on June 24.

With a total investment of 1 billion yuan ($142 million), the park integrates industrial robotics research and development, production, inspection and testing, sales service and talent training.

Located in Zoucheng, a county-level city in Jining, the park is aimed at supporting the city's industrial transformation and development of its intelligent equipment industry, said Luan Tao, vice mayor of Zoucheng.

Luan added that Zoucheng will ramp up efforts to improve its business environment and attract investment and cooperation opportunities, as well as expand the industrial scale of the local intelligent equipment sector.

The park, which has been selected as a national industrial base for intelligent mining equipment, is currently home to 18 high-tech and intelligent equipment enterprises.

The park is expected to produce 5,000 intelligent robots per year, with an output value of 800 million yuan, by 2021.
