Jining has gotten back into the swing of things after the New Year's break. Residents rushed to commercial hubs and cultural destinations to recharge after recent COVID-19 outbreaks.

According to Xie Xinyan, a staff member at Longgui Plaza, there were approximately 500 people gathered in front of the shopping center on Jan 1, to participate in the New Year countdown activity.

To bring more joy to the residents, activities such as light shows, lighting ceremonies and fireworks shows were also on display, which received a warm welcome from all in attendance.

Xie said that as the restaurants were packed with customers and clothing stores were stuffed with shoppers, it is obvious that the consumption vitality in Jining has been reactivated.

At the same time, dining carts lined up in rows along the streets to provide mouth-watering snacks, such as barbecue food and juice. The vendors hollered at possible customers as they quickly prepared the goodies, creating an energetic scene of community life.
