Wanglu town hosts fish-catching competition

The Yutai Lobster Festival and Wanglu Town Fish-Catching Competition began on July 16. The event took place in Wanglu town, Yutai county, Jining city, and drew in nearly 30,000 visitors from Yutai and other nearby areas.

At the competition, there was a vast fish pond covering an area of 4,666 square meters and containing over 5,300 pounds of various fish types. The event was open to everyone and had no specific entry criteria. Visitors had the opportunity to catch fish manually, and those who participated could keep their catches and even win cash prizes.

The competition had four award categories which were the grand prize, first prize, two second prizes, and three third prizes. After an hour of intense competition, a resident from the local community named Ma Sen won the grand prize.

In addition to the competition, the attendees were treated to a range of cultural performances. Moreover, there were charity donation drives that were started.

From July 16 to 21, the festival will feature various activities such as duck-catching contests, tire boat races, disc defense stations, rope crossings, tug of war on tire boats, and water balloon fights. These events are free and open to everyone, and they offer a chance to win exciting prizes.
