Jining, a pioneering national pilot city for infant and toddler care services, is dedicated to enhancing its inclusive and safe childcare service system.

With 820 childcare institutions offering over 40,000 admission slots, the city boasts a remarkable 4.78 childcare admission slots per thousand people for children under 3.

In March, Jining was recognized among the third group of cities constructing national child-friendly cities.

In 2023, the city constructed, renovated, or expanded a total of 41 primary and secondary schools and kindergartens, resulting in an increase of 22,000 student placements. By 2025, the city plans to ensure that 95 percent of kindergartens are inclusive, with public kindergartens catering to more than 75 percent of enrolled children.

Moreover, Jining is increasing the basic living allowance standards for institutions caring for vulnerable children, such as orphans and those facing other difficulties. This measure aims to ensure their well-being, while also enhancing the coverage and quality of rehabilitation assistance services for disabled children.

Nearly all disabled children in need are receiving basic rehabilitation services, in Jining.
