Intangible cultural heritage inheritors in Yantai gain national recognition
Luan Shujuan, was recognized as the representative inheritor of Yantai paper-cutting. Known for its intricate skills and innovative characters, Yantai paper-cutting boasts a long history as it can be dated back to the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644). It features various themes such as plum blossoms, phoenix and peony flowers, Chinese zodiac symbols, famous tourist attractions, Peking opera masks and Olympic mascots.
