Shandong, Haibei launch training course to boost tourism sector

A training course on tourism development, jointly organized by the tourism authorities of Shandong province and Haibei, was held from Dec 10 to 13 in Qilian county, Haibei Tibetan autonomous prefecture, Northwest China's Qinghai province.

A total of 120 people from Haibei attended the course, including government officials and representatives from local travel agencies, enterprises, and the rural tourism sector.

Experts and experienced industry insiders from the Shandong College of Tourism and Hospitality, Shandong Normal University, Chengdu VENI Tourism Development Corp, and other institutions delivered lectures on topics such as the development of the regional tourism service system, creative product design, tourism brand-building, the promotion of study tours, vacation products in plateau regions, and the marketing of tourism destinations.

The training course combined lectures with practical exercises in order to provide insight into the development of tourism in Haibei Tibetan autonomous prefecture.

"Through the course I've learned advanced management concepts and methods of improving business administration and service quality," said a senior administrative employee of a local tourism enterprise.
