Shandong hosts tourism promoting conference in Zhengzhou

A tourism promotion conference was held in Zhengzhou, Henan province on Oct 17, with the goal of attracting more tourists to East China's Shandong province.

Held by the Shandong Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism, the event attracted more than 200 guests, including officials from provincial departments, representatives of universities, as well as well-known online travel agencies.

Wang Chunsheng, a second-grade inspector of the Shandong Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism, said that Shandong is striving to improve tourism development to continuously meet the needs of Henan residents and people from all over the country.

Cui Yushan, a second-grade inspector of the Henan Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism, said that the conference has built a platform for tourism cooperation between the two provinces.

Shandong has a long history and rich culture, which have exerted great influence on the formation of Chinese civilization.

This promotion conference included various themed exhibition areas to showcase Shandong's history, culture, tourism resources, and bountiful products, with a focus on specialties, cultural and creative products, as well as handicrafts. An array of cultural performances was also staged simultaneously.

Representatives of Shandong provincial departments and local companies in Henan conducted further exchanges to jointly promote cooperation on cultural tourism.

Shandong will continue to introduce more preferential policies in its efforts to promote the high-quality development of its cultural tourism industry.
