The lists for the top 100 private enterprises in East China's Shandong province, the top 10 provincial industry leaders and the top 100 innovative enterprises in 2021 were officially launched on Aug 27.
A total of 29 enterprises from the province's Zibo city were reportedly listed. Of these, nine companies - including Wonfull Petrochemical Group, ranked 22nd - were on the list of the top 100 private enterprises in Shandong.
Three companies - including Zhiyang Innovation Technology Company, in fourth place - were on the list of the top 10 provincial industry leaders. Meanwhile a dozen companies - including Yarward Electronic Company, ranked ninth - made the list of the top 100 innovative enterprises.
Five Zibo enterprises - including Shanbo Electric Machine Group, ranked eighth - were rated in the top 100 potential enterprises.
The lists were jointly organized and evaluated by the Shandong provincial bureaus of the Federation of Industry and Commerce, the Provincial Department of Science and Technology, the Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology, the Provincial Department of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, the Provincial Department of Commerce, the Provincial Tax Bureau and the Provincial Market Supervision Bureau.
The selection of the top 100 private enterprises in Shandong mainly relied on performance indicators such as their individual operating revenues in 2020, with the minimum threshold reaching 11.75 billion yuan ($1.82 billion), an increase of 1.41 billion yuan on the 2019 qualifying level.
