The upcoming World Artificial Intelligence Conference from July 6 to 8 will serve as a platform for global exchange and cooperation in the field of metaverse-empowered "government, industry, education and research" model and become a vital window for Pudong's opening-up to the outside world.

Pudong will host one main forum on metaverse and AI applications, two themed forums — AI plus metaverse and AI developers — and about 20 other forums that will be attended by nearly 40 academicians, 100 international guests, representatives from 100 high-end companies, and more than 10 research institutions and universities.

Renowned guests include Zhang Bo, academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and professor at Tsinghua University, German academician Jivka Ovtcharova as well as experts like Turing Award recipient Joseph Sifakis and professor He Ping, vice-dean of the School of Economics and Management at Tsinghua University.

Several key projects like the IJCAI-SAIA China Office and a metaverse standard innovation base will be announced during the conference, which will see standardization enterprises and institutions explore solutions for technology, application, management and ethics in the metaverse.

As the sub-venue of WAIC 2023, the Zhangjiang Science Hall will again create a variety of metaverse applications that boast cutting-edge technologies.

Last year, Deemos brought Hyperhuman, the world's first hyper-realistic AI-generated digital human created using AIGC technology, to the WAIC.

"This year, we can generate film-level hyper-realistic 3D digital human assets with just a text description or a photo, and we can produce them in batches," said Zhang Qixuan, CTO of Deemos.

ChatAvatar, developed by Deemos based on the DreamFace generative AI, is the world's first Text-to-3D product. ChatAvatar provides audio and video driving solutions and other digital human technology services, further accelerating the creative process of artists.
