During a press tour on July 10, Pudong New Area showcased its impressive technological advancements and intelligent development. The tour took participants to key sites such as the National Innovation Center par Excellence, Tsung-Dao Lee Institute (TDLI), and Jinqiao's intelligent connected vehicle testing demonstration zone.

Established in June 2021, the National Innovation Center par Excellence has established 94 professional research institutes in Shanghai and Jiangsu, employing over 15,000 research and development personnel. The center boasts over 9,000 technology transfer accomplishments and has served over 20,000 businesses. It has also collaborated with 335 leading companies from diverse sectors in the Yangtze River Delta region to establish joint innovation centers, addressing over 460 technical needs through contracts worth approximately 1.4 billion yuan ($195.2 million).

Since its inception, TDLI has identified three major research domains since its inception: astronomy and astrophysics, particle and nuclear physics, and fundamental quantum science. The institute has emerged as a crucial contributor to Shanghai's aspiration to establish a globally influential technology innovation center. Deputy Director Ding Hong emphasized the institute's commitment to making significant breakthroughs in exploring fundamental scientific issues.
