The newly constructed vessel Pegasus embarked on its maiden voyage after it was loaded with over 700 containers at the second phase of Shanghai's Waigaoqiao port on Aug 6.

The Waigaoqiao Border Inspection Station of Shanghai General Station of Immigration Inspection implemented the "one-vessel-one-policy" border inspection measure, which means that each new vessel can have policies that are suitable for its situation, helping accelerate the progress from delivery to operation of the newly constructed vessel.

Facing the requirement of accelerating the progress from delivery to operation for the Pegasus, the Waigaoqiao Border Inspection Station overcame challenges such as numerous demanding handover processes for new vessels, and the difficulty in linking delivery and operation processes.

A tailored service list was made for the Pegasus, securely and efficiently handling relevant procedures, vessel inspection, crew and vessel border inspection, among other things. Through implementing the "one-vessel-one-policy" inspection measure, the Pegasus was seamlessly transitioned from delivery to operation.

The Pegasus, which was developed by Shanghai Waigaoqiao Shipyard, is a new generation of environmentally friendly medium-sized container vessel, equipped with open-type desulfurization towers, meeting Tier III requirements.

After delivery, its excellent technical indicators and green operation mode will provide the greater competitiveness in the market and create more value.
