China (Shanghai) Pilot Free Trade Zone has pioneered a series of quality certification reforms, marking a substantial step in promoting high-level institutional openness and comprehensive reform in the region.

These measures were implemented successfully in the Pudong New Area to eliminate global trade barriers and comply with international standards.

The reforms include allowing suppliers' compliance declarations to guarantee product compliance with electromagnetic compatibility standards, reducing redundant testing, and cutting costs for imported products. This initiative led to the issuance of the first EMC self-declaration imported product CCC certificate in the country at a themed event hosted by Pudong on March 4.

At the event, a company in Pudong also received the first domestic automotive chip reliability certification, marking a significant breakthrough in voluntary product certification.

Additionally, Pudong is actively exploring establishing a carbon emission and carbon footprint certification standard system, and representatives of relevant organizations and enterprises were awarded certificates at the event.
