The fourth 895 Entrepreneurship Camp launched by the Zhangjiang High Tech Park in Shanghai's Pudong New Area ended on March 24.

After several rounds of competition, which included attending roadshows and answering the hard hitting questions of investors, a total of eight projects out of 32 received the honorable title of "Star of Entrepreneurship".

During the closing ceremony, the Zhangjiang authorities announced that the camp will cooperate with Listed Companies Association of Shanghai to boost the quality of the startup projects it selects.

The 895 Entrepreneurship Camp is a service platform geared towards innovation and entrepreneurship, one which Zhangjiang High-tech Park hopes will be able to produce world-leading start-ups such as those fostered by global business incubators such as Silicon Valley's YCombinator.

The camp, enjoying its fourth iteration, turned its attention towards developing quality high-tech projects from all over the world this year, a shift from its previous focus on domestic start-ups.

The 32 projects that participated in the camp were chosen from an original longlist of 350 applicants from China, the United States, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, Australia, Singapore, and many other countries and regions. Most entries came on the recommendation of investors or former participants in the camp.

The projects covered a wide range of fields, including big data, cloud computing, 3-D printing, augmented reality, virtual reality, and medical equipment.
