Forum promotes youth entrepreneurship and innovation

The Nanxiang Shineland Industrial Park in Shanghai's Jiading district hosted a youth forum on May 3 to gather local young talents to exchange innovative ideas.

The forum was considered a significant move to promote youth entrepreneurship and innovation and unite young people to contribute to Shanghai's goal of becoming a scientific and innovative center.

During the forum, the Shanghai Science and Technology Commission of Youth League, the Jiading Youth League, and the Jiading Science and Technology Commission agreed to boost youth entrepreneurship and scientific innovation in Jiading.

The Jiading Youth Center, the Nanxiang Shineland service station, and the Nanxiang Shineland Youth Center were awarded for their outstanding services in that regard.

Some innovation projects and achievements were exhibited by young workers from local research institutes and tech startups during the event. The exhibits covered many of the latest technologies such as virtual reality, life science, and 3D printing.

Zhou Jinlin, vice Party secretary of Jiading district, attended the forum and introduced Jiading's efforts to bring in quality public service facilities such as Ruijin North Hospital, the High School affiliated to Shanghai Jiao Tong University and the Poly Grand Theater in an attempt to provide the talents with better educational, cultural and medical resources.

Jiading has also launched a series of preferential policies such as housing subsidies to lure more talented people to work in Jiading.

Zhou said that he sincerely hopes that such people will join hands with Jiading to create a better future.

Some experts from local research institutes and tech companies also offered their experience to encourage and help the young entrepreneurs in attendance.
