A job fair targeting workers for travel agencies was recently held in Taiyuan, capital of North China's Shanxi province. 

The fair, held online and offline, was attended by 47 travel agencies across the province. They provided 1,368 positions in more than 30 categories including tour guides, graphic artists, channel managers, and new media operation. 

According to Shanxi Department of Culture and Tourism, over the past three years, Shanxi has implemented policies and measures such as a growth plan for market entities, laying the foundation for the rapid recovery of the culture and tourism industry. 

This year, Shanxi will continue to arrange 40 million yuan ($5.86 million) in incentives to attract customers to Shanxi and 2 million yuan in incentives for tour guide service quality awards, so as to stimulate the vitality of travel agencies and excellent tour guides.
