Subway station showcases SHFTZ's achievements

The administrative committee of China (Shanghai) Pilot Free Trade Zone (SHFTZ) recently partnered with Shanghai Shentong Metro Group to advertise its achievements on the display boards of Shanghai Science and Technology Museum station on Line 2.

The move is part of celebrations for SHFTZ's fifth anniversary and is expected to raise the area's profile as well as educate people about the innovations and reforms that have been achieved there.

The launch ceremony for the new publicity campaign was held on Sept 28, with the attendance of a group of officials, including Wang Ying, head of the Public Relations Department of SHFTZ Administrative Committee, Wu Xinyi, Party work department of Shentong Metro Group and the deputy Party chief of Shanghai Metro's No 2 Operation, Co Dong Xiaoxiao.

Wang Ying said that the partnership between the administrative committee and Shentong Metro Group is bound to further enhance the influence of SHFTZ and show an open, confident and inclusive SHFTZ to the public.

SHFTZ will continue to speed up the construction of a comprehensive reform pilot zone integrating openness and innovation, establish a risk pressure testing area for an open economic system, build an experimental demonstration zone for improving government administration, and become a bridgehead to serve the national Belt and Road Initiative and push market players to go global, he added.

Commuters using the Science and Technology Museum Station can learn of the big events that have taken place over the past five years, such as the launch of SHFTZ in September 2013; President Xi Jinping's visit to the Zone in May 2014; its expansion in April 2015; Premier Li Keqiang's third visit to the Zone and the release of the State Council's plan calling for deepening the reform and opening up of SHFTZ.

They can also learn about SHFTZ's contributions to the local area and its success in attracting professionals from home and abroad to start businesses there.
