2018-10: Several Opinions on Promoting the Deepening Development of the City's Cruise Economy

In order to achieve collaborative innovation with the China (Shanghai) Pilot Free Trade Zone, the city will support the construction of cruise repair industrial bases and supporting parks such as the Baoshan Cruise Support Industrial Park and Waigaoqiao shipbuilding base, and deepen the collaborative innovation between China (Shanghai) Cruise Tourism Development Experimental Zone and the free trade zone.

In the field of cruise economy, it will explore and implement a new round of opening up, trade facilitation, financial innovation and other policy initiatives. 

It will support the construction of a cruise supervision zone with overlapping customs policies and resource integration at the International Cruise Port. 

It will gradually improve the customs supervision system with the main features of the cruise economy and explore the establishment of special customs supervision centers in suitable areas in a timely manner.

2018-11: Expansion of the China (Shanghai) Pilot Free Trade Zone

In the keynote speech at the opening ceremony of the first China International Import Expo, President Xi Jinping said that new areas will be added to the China (Shanghai) Pilot Free Trade Zone.

Shanghai was encouraged to boldly innovate and explore in promoting investment and trade liberalization and facilitation, so as to accumulate more replicable and expandable experience for the whole country

Xi ordered to launch a science and technology innovation board on the Shanghai Stock Exchange and experimenting with a registration system for listed companies. Shanghai should support the regional integration of the Yangtze River Delta, which will become a national strategy.
