Simbay Park, a biological technology industrial park based in the Waigaoqiao Bonded Area of the China (Shanghai) Pilot Free Trade Zone, was recently recognized as one of 12 municipal-level start-up incubators in Shanghai.

Located at No 160 Basheng Road, the park spans an area of 51,245.9 square meters and offers tailored spaces for the development demands of biomedicine companies.

The park boasts public R&D laboratories and independent labs, production lines for the consigned processing of IVD (in vitro diagnosis) kits, nucleic acid kits and medical instruments, and standard logistics and storage services.

In addition, the park has built a standard CRO (contract research organization) registration service platform that can help reduce registration risks for products and shorten the time needed for products to enter the market.

Over the past three years since it started operating, Simbay Park has attracted more than 100 up-and-coming biomedicine projects, forming a competitive industrial cluster.

In the future, it plans to develop Shanghai's bonded biomedical R&D center and innovative service platform by combining the CRO, CDMO (contract development manufacturing organization) and CSO (contract sales organization) of medical instruments.

The park will also seek cooperation with upstream and downstream sectors to build an innovative medical instrument registration cluster in the Yangtze River Delta region.
