Peng Liyuan, wife of Chinese President Xi Jinping and UNESCO Special Envoy for the Advancement of Girls' and Women's Education, became the special envoy in 2014 of the Spring Bud Project for promoting girls' education at the invitation of the All-China Women's Federation and China Children and Teenagers' Fund. She has since presented the achievements of the project on many important international occasions.
