CCTF, New Oriental Foundation co-host a study tour for Spring Bud girls in Beijing
Under the support of New Oriental Foundation, the China Children and Teenagers' Fund (CCTF) held a New Oriental & Spring Bud Students Assistance Action program in Beijing from July 25 to 31.
The week-long assistance action project drew the attendance of 60 Spring Bud girls from Sichuan, Tibet and Yunnan and organized them to attend a series of study tour activities featuring sci-tech innovation and traditional Chinese culture.

During their stay in Beijing, attendees visited China Science and Technology Museum, National Center for the Performing Arts, Beijing Planetarium, Beijing Aquarium, the Temple of Heaven and the Summer Palace, where they explored and appreciated fossils, planets, aerospace, classical music, ocean, ancient architectural and gardening arts.
At an interview, one Spring Bud girl from Shangri-La in Yunnan's Diqing Tibet autonomous prefecture said that she found lots of odd fossils in China Science and Technology Museum and that the theme exhibition and games there helped her become more interested in mathematics.

They also attended a flag-raising ceremony on the Tiananmen Square, which encouraged them to carry forward revolutionary traditions, establish lofty ideals, strive to be pacesetters, and become prepared for the realization of the rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.
The study tour in Beijing left a deep impression on the teenage participants, raised their self-confidence, help them acquire a deeper understanding of the importance of knowledge in making a difference to personal life, further enriched their holiday life, and planted a seed of hope and dream in their inner heart.
Statistics show that the program has extended financial aid to 1,559 eligible girls from eight provincial regions since its establishment in 2019.
The public welfare project has organized a wide range of activities to help them learn more about fine traditional Chinese culture, expand personal horizon, further raise their ideological and moral standards and their love of the country as well as the people, strive to create a better future, and aspire to become a new generation of young people capable of shouldering the mission of national rejuvenation.
