With 100 vintage cars arriving at the Binhai New Area in Tianjin, an event showcasing the car’s centurial evolution was launched at the area’s new Dongjiang Automobile Culture and Art Center.

The show featured 60 classic cars that show how the automobile has developed over the last century, including their design and brand history. It was part of Dongjiang’s efforts to boost the development of its auto industry.

The Dongjiang free trade port zone of Tianjin (DFTP) has focused on the automobile culture industry chain and taken vintage cars as a characteristic field. It has built a business chain that includes imports, clearing customs, and auctions.

With years of efforts, DFTP now leads the country in the import and export of large trade vehicles, parallel imports of automobiles, and exports of used cars.

New business forms and models such as car rental and online freight transportation have grown in Dongjiang, as well as supporting services such as storage and logistics.

Next, the area plans to expand bonded storage, exhibitions, and activities featuring vintage cars.
