Tianjin Ziya Economic and Technological Development Zone High-tech Industrial Park

Tianjin Ziya Economic and Technological Development Zone High-tech Industrial Park, formerly known as the Jinghai Economic Development Zone, is a provincial-level development zone. It was established in 1992, and approved by the Tianjin Municipal People's Government. In 2021, it was officially merged into the national-level development zone - Tianjin Ziya Economic and Technological Development Zone. 

The park is located in the middle of Jinghai district in Tianjin, and is an industrial cluster area between Jinghai New City and Tuanbo New City. It has significant geographical advantages and convenient transportation system. The total planned area is 39.17 square kilometers, of which 27 square kilometers have been completed with supporting infrastructure. 

As of the end of 2022, more than 1,800 companies of various types have settled in the area, including nearly 600 industrial companies, employing approximately 40,000 industrial workers. There are currently 262 large-scale enterprises, 141 nationally recognized high-tech enterprises, 22 young eagle enterprises, 10 gazelle enterprises, three specialized, refined, characteristic, and innovative leading small and medium-sized enterprises, and 28 specialized, refined, characteristic, and innovative small and medium-sized enterprises, as well as 52 registered foreign-funded enterprises.

Location advantage

It is an important node of the Beijing-Shanghai and Xiong'an-Binhai corridors, a core area and important transportation hub city of the coordinated development of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei, a strategic gateway for Beijing to move south to Jiangsu and Zhejiang, a must-pass place for Xiong'an New Area to the east of Bohai Sea, and a bridgehead for Tianjin to connect with Xiong’an New Area.

Convenient transportation 

The convenient transportation network of high-speed railways and expressways is linked inside and outside the park, providing fast and direct access to Beijing, Xiong’an New Area and major cities around the Bohai Sea. The density of the urban comprehensive transportation network has reached 149.7 kilometers per 100 square kilometers, achieving effective connection to external channels.

Ecological livability 

The 51-square-kilometer Tuanbo Lake is known as the green gem of the North China Plain and the lung of Tianjin. It is included in the list of China's wetland nature reserves. It has been awarded titles such as "China's Hot Spring City" and "Demonstration Base for Health Tourism."

Infrastructure 

The park has complete supporting infrastructure, including roads, water supply, power supply, heating, gas supply, drainage, sewage treatment, communication, network, and site leveling, providing basic conditions for companies to settle in.

Supporting services 

The park has a complete system of living, education, medical care, shopping, and leisure. It is composed of Beijing Normal University Affiliated School, Jinghai No. 1 Middle School, Guanghe Valley Tourism Resort, Tuanbo Qicai Aolai Plaza, Tianjin International Tennis Center, Tuanbo Sports Center, Tuanbo Football Field, Samaranch Memorial Hall, Peking Union Medical College Hospital Tianjin Branch (Tuanbo Campus), and Tianjin University of Traditional Chinese Medicine Third Affiliated Hospital.

Educational resources 

Jinghai district is rich in educational resources. The three major higher education zones in Tianjin and the Haihe Education Park are within a 20-kilometer coverage circle. Local school resources are abundant, such as Tianjin Medical University, Tianjin University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, and Tianjin Vocational Institute of Petrochemical Technology.

The industries to focus on for development include intelligent manufacturing, high-end equipment manufacturing, biopharmaceuticals, new generation information technology, and technological services.
