Bei’erbao Village is one of the cultural and tourist villages in Tianjin. In November 2020, it was named one of the National Civilized Villages in the sixth national selection. Located 5.4 kilometers south of Taitou Town in Jinghai district, the village is adjacent to the south bank of Ziya River. The upstream of Ziya River is the Hutuo River to Baoding. It was originally a canal transportation route, and the story of Jiang Ziya fishing, a historical allusion in China, originated from this river. Surrounded by forest, the village is located at the intersection of Jingtai Road and Jiangba Road in Taitou Town, with convenient transportation and a half-hour drive from Jinghai district, Tianjin City, and Xiong’an New Area. It is also located in the intersection of the Xiongbin Economic Corridor and the coordinated development region of "Jinghai-Cangzhou-Langfang", within the "golden distance" of one hour's drive for self-driving tourists from the urban areas of Beijing, Tianjin, and Hebei. The village was formed in the mid-Qing Dynasty (1730) as a natural, original ecological village. Since its establishment, the villagers have been devoted to farming and reading. The villagers are skilled in weaving with reeds. In the late Qing Dynasty, Guo Xianzhang, a juren (a successful candidate in the imperial examinations), came from the village.
