Recently, the list of the fourth batch of 80 National Agricultural Green Development Pilot Zones was released, with Tianjin’s Jinghai district featuring on the list.
In recent years, Jinghai district has consistently integrated agricultural green development with rural revitalization, increased farmers' income, and coordinated the harmonious development of production, living, and ecology.

Over the years, agricultural resource conservation and utilization have been continuously enhanced. The protection and utilization of important resources, including arable land and water, have been a priority in Jinghai district. Up to now, 824,000 mu of arable land in the district has been developed into high-standard farmland, and the irrigation water utilization coefficient for farmland has surpassed the national average level.
In addition, green production technologies have advanced. The integrated promotion of new agricultural technologies, products, and equipment has resulted in a coverage rate of over 97 percents for soil testing and formula fertilization technology across the whole area. The coverage rate of green pest control technologies in agriculture has reached 47.7 percents, and the quality monitoring production model of Taitou watermelon's entire industrial chain has been recognized as a typical case in national agricultural production. Over 60 patents and three awards at the municipal level were also awarded to the local ecological circular earthworm farming model.

Going forward, Jinghai district will strive to build a green agricultural product supply base for the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region and an innovation hub for intelligent and technological agriculture. By 2025, Jinghai is expected to achieve the comprehensive green transformation of agricultural development with strong technological support and policy guarantees.
