Tuanbo Bird Nature Reserve, one of the four major wetlands in Tianjin, is an important stopover for migratory birds. With its abundant water grass resources and superior wetland environment, Tuanbo Lake welcomes about 50,000 birds to nest each year, including national first-class and second-class protected animals.

Over the years, the Tuanbo Bird Nature Reserve Administration Committee has implemented active ecological restoration measures, increased inspection and protection efforts, and carried out various special actions on illegal activities that damage the resources of the protected area, in a bid to build an ecological barrier to protect this "bird paradise".
According to Li Yanhuan, deputy director of the committee, with the implementation of wetland degradation and ecological restoration, this year, the number of migratory birds is estimated to increase by approximately 10,000 compared to the same period last year. Not only that, but the distribution range of bird species has also become more extensive.
Jinghai district has deeply implemented the concept of "lucid waters and lush mountains are invaluable assets". Through being committed to the path of ecological priority and green development, Jinghai has placed local ecological civilization construction in a prominent position, aiming to create a leading area for green development.
