The first "Xingju Tuanbo" Health Industry Talent Development Summit kicked off in Tianjin's Jinghai district on July 23. Over 100 experts, scholars and leaders from universities and institutions in the health sector are participating in the summit.
The three-month-long event, which focuses on the cultivation of medical talent, features 16 customized activities and the four main sections of government-university cooperation, talent selection through contests, talent hub promotion, and employment promotion.
With the signing of cooperation agreements, nine key projects, including the BioStar NK Cell Project and the Aquiferre Medical Equipment Digital Operation Platform, will settle in Tianbo Health City. Meanwhile, by leveraging the abundant medical and educational resources of the health city, UBTECH and other ecological companies have planned to bring in a total investment of 170 million yuan ($23.37 million) to establish an ecological sci-tech sports center, a brain-machine interface research institute, a digital intelligent talent training base and a service robot manufacturing factory.
In addition, the Modern Traditional Chinese Medicine Haihe Laboratory Postdoctoral Research Station, the Academician Expert Collaborative Center and four other entrepreneurial platforms have been unveiled as part of the summit to further promote the development of cooperation platforms in Jinghai.
A total of 29 talent introduction policies, 127 key positions and 16 customized talent events are expected to be launched.
"As health projects emerge one after another, Jinghai is writing a new chapter in developing a health industry hub in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region,” said Zhang Ying, secretary of the CPC Tianjin Health Industry International Cooperation Demonstration Zone Committee.
