On Oct 20, the Tianjin’s Wuqing Yangtze River Delta Investment Conference and signing ceremony was held in Shanghai.
During the conference, the economic and social developments of Wuqing district, local policies to benefit enterprises, and its innovation-driven development were introduced.
A total of 37 projects worth at 11.08 billion yuan (about $1.51 billion) were signed. They are expected to help Wuqing achieve high-quality economic and social development.
Zhang Leiguang, deputy director of the Cooperation and Exchange Office of Tianjin Municipal People’s Government, stressed that Wuqing district has actively seized the opportunities provided by the coordinated development strategy of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region. It has made continuous efforts in the areas of scientific and technological innovation, industrial upgrading, service optimization, and rural revitalization, playing a leading and supportive role in the rapid development of Tianjin and demonstrating tremendous development potential and bright prospects. This event would introduce the investment environment, resource carriers, and relevant policies of Wuqing to more enterprises, making new and greater contributions to promoting the coordinated development of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region and the high-quality development of the Yangtze River Delta.
The projects signed are in fields such as intelligent technology, biomedicine, and modern services. There are 17 projects with an investment of over 100 million yuan, which have strong innovative capabilities and great development potential. These projects will provide strong support for further improving the high-end industrial chain, strengthening the leading industrial cluster, and constructing a modern industrial system in Wuqing.
A total of 280 leaders from central State-owned enterprises, foreign and private enterprises and institutions, as well as relevant departments of Wuqing, attended the event.
