The "canal night city" will start construction in December with a planned area of 120 mu. It is expected to present the most representative and characteristic natural scenery, cultural landscapes, and local customs along both banks of the Grand Canal in the form of immersive cultural tourism interactive scenes. Through light shows, traditional performances, culinary experiences, and exhibitions, the culture of the thousand-year-old Grand Canal will offer visitors a stunning spectacle.

The "canal night city" will feature seven distinctive themed areas: the Yan-Zhao Tonghui cultural area, north canal cultural area, south canal cultural area, Qilu canal cultural area, central canal cultural area, Li canal cultural area, and Jiangnan canal cultural area.
