Wandering in the Crossroads – the Exhibition of Wu Qian's Recent Works made its debut at Elga Wimmer PCC, a gallery in New York, on June 20, local media reported.

The exhibition, which will run until July 2, showcases around 20 paintings that are testment to Wu's rich imagination.

Born in Xiamen in southeast Fujian province during the 1990s, Wu Qian studied calligraphy and traditional Chinese painting. His award-winning works from that time have been collected by a renowned art museum in Beijing.

Wu presented his first solo show in New York in April 2016, which was well-received by visitors.

Elga Wimmer, curator of the exhibition, said that the artist's works maintain the elegance of traditional Chinese ink painting, while also using western abstract expressionist techniques, which is in line with the show's theme of exploring the oriental and western styles of art.
