The 5th China International IoT Fair (IoTF) is set to take place in Xiamen in East China's Fujian province from July 11-13. The event will focus on 5G application and innovation, according to local media.

More than 100 experts in related fields from across the world will hold in-depth exchanges involving new technologies, applications and products, such as 5G, internet of things (IoT), artificial intelligence and industry solutions.

Many renowned sci-tech companies from home and abroad, including Huawei Technologies Co, Alibaba Group, Tencent Holdings Ltd, Baidu Inc and Amazon.com Inc, are expected to showcase their cutting-edge technologies at the fair.

Through cross-industry interaction, the fair will promote resource sharing between the IoT industry and vertical industries and boost the innovation and integration of 5G and IoT, according to Lin Jingui, manager of IoTF Xiamen.

The China International IoT Summit, an important supporting activity of the fair, will be held on July 11. Several big names in the IoT industry will make keynote speeches.

Last year's fair attracted 219 exhibitors from the Chinese mainland and Taiwan and more than 40,000 visitors.
