Auto-parking cars made in Xiamen, Fujian province, will go into mass production in 2020, local media reported.

Imagine: an office lady is running late for her work and she can't find a parking space. However, she steps out of the car and rushes to work, while behind her the car finishes self-parking and informs her on her cellphone about where it is parked.

Tang Rui, the CEO of ZongMu Technology Co, said that it is estimated that the above scene may happen as early as 2020.

ZongMu has achieved the highest level of automatic driving, L4, which means vehicles with an L4 system can conduct self-driving on roads without a human driver.

The company, which is headquartered in Shanghai, chose its location in Xiamen Torch Hi-Tech Industrial Development Zone in 2017 and became the first company in China to win the volume project of Auto Valet Parking at the end of 2018.

ZongMu joined hands with another auto-parking research and development company, Keynote Co, and they expect to realize auto-parking in over 200 commercial parking lots in China.
