Some 30,000 project matchmaking activities will be held during the 2019 China International Fair for Investment and Trade (CIFIT) and the Belt and Road Investment Conference (BRIC), which takes place in Xiamen, eastern Fujian province, from Sept 8 to 11.

According to the management committee of the 2019 CIFIT, they plan to launch four major events for project matchmaking with different focuses on key industries, key areas, hot issues and overseas investment.

As of now, roughly 1,000 investors have signed up for the activities.

In addition, approximately 100 forums and information conferences are expected during the 2019 CIFIT, including nearly 50 forums on investment and 20 briefings on investment environments by governments from at home and abroad.

Roughly 600 delegations have confirmed their attendance to date, including the United Nations (UN) Conference on Trade and Development, the UN Industrial Development Organization and the ASEAN Secretariat. A further 3,000 companies, including over 100 multinational corporations and Fortune 500 firms, will attend the event.

The 2019 edition of the annual investment event will highlight the Silk Road with its exhibition pavilions featuring investment, industrial investment promotion and trade between countries along the route.

The entire exhibition will have a total of 6,000 booths across its 130,000 square meters space welcoming exhibitors from more than 50 countries and regions.

The International Cooperation Forum on Marine Transport along the Silk Road, which is to be launched during the 2019 CIFIT, will focus on more convenient port customs clearance, sea-railway combined transportation and intelligent logistics.
