The 15th Cross-Straits Book Fair will take place in Xiamen, East China's Fujian province from Sept 20 to 22, showcasing over 700,000 books from the mainland and Taiwan.

The fair, which has been held alternately in Xiamen and Taiwan since it began in 2005, will exhibit 9 million books in total.

The main venue is located at the Xiamen International Conference and Exhibition Center, covering an exhibition area of 34,500 square meters. About 320 mainland publishers and 200 Taiwan booksellers will participate in the event, promoting cross-Straits cultural integration and development.

The fair will also hold a joint exhibition for new books from Hong Kong and Macao publishers for the first time.

The organizer will hold 30 autographing activities and lectures during the fair, inviting well-known mainland and Taiwan writers to interact with readers.

A purchase discount is available at the book fair, with 200,000 vouchers being issued to the public in advance.
