The curtain recently fell on the third cross-Straits choral education conference in Xiamen, Fujian province with a rendition of One Thousand and One Wishes, which integrated classic Taiwan music genres and a refreshing children's chorus. 

The finale marked a climax of music and cultural exchanges between both sides of the Straits, and also struck a chord among participants, who have actively immersed themselves in the six-day event for skill-sharpening and mind-inspiring training. 

The song was composed by Xu Xin, an experienced cantor at the local Deep Sea Blue chorus from Songbai Primary School, who has led the children's choir to obtain many domestic and foreign titles. 

Launched in 2017, the conference has engaged more than 1,700 people from Taiwan and the Chinese mainland. It has developed into a brand new calling card for cross-Straits music and educational exchanges. It follows the empathic learning of music at primary and middle schools and concerts presented by musicians from both sides of the Straits.
